SURPRISE! We Adopted a Husky Puppy!
The video
The Maya Husky channel comes back after a break with a surprise: they've adopted a second husky puppy. The video introduces the new pup to the channel's audience, and to Maya.
Meet the dog and the channel
Maya Husky is a talking-husky channel. Its tags lean heavily on Maya's "talking" and a long-running Alexa bit. It had about 629,000 subscribers when we checked in November 2026. The new puppy is Storm. According to the owners' description, "Her mother passed away while giving birth and the owners gave the puppies to a foster to raise them." The family had been watching ads and online rescue groups, and someone contacted them about Storm. The description also says Storm had a parasite and was "very ill the second day we had her," which is why the video was delayed. They also point viewers to a second vlog channel for updates. We couldn't find a reliable public source for where the family lives, so we've left that out.
How it blew up
The video went up on February 15, 2022, and had about 1.1 million views when we checked in November 2026. It's a strong result for a three-minute announcement. Long-running pet channels earn these "new family member" bumps, because their audience already cares about the dog. We didn't find any outside coverage.
Our take: we like that the owners told the boring, true part too: the parasite, the sick day, the delayed upload. That's what bringing home a puppy from a foster actually looks like, not just the cute reveal.
The husky science behind it
Orphaned puppies raised by a foster miss some of what a mother dog teaches, like bite inhibition and how to handle frustration, so their new families have to do more of that work. An adult husky at home can help a lot. Older dogs teach puppies dog manners that humans can't.
A practical tip
If you're adopting a puppy from a foster or a private rehome, book a vet visit within the first 48 hours and bring a stool sample. Parasites like giardia and coccidia are common in young rescue puppies. They're very treatable, but they can knock a puppy down fast, as Storm's owners found out.
